Nikki Jackson

Trained at
the Academy of Art University in California

The Florence Academy of Art has also given her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

She is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm, knowledge and experience with others.

Nikki Jackson was born in the heart of England. Until she decided to combine work with travel, she lived, studied and worked in London. Her choice to travel took her to Scotland, Austria, France and the United States. Today, she lives in Maastricht, in the heart of Europe.

Alongside her passion for drawing and painting, Nikki loves spending as much time outdoors as possible. Her garden and the nature around her provide a constant source of inspiration. Because she learns best by doing, she regularly ventures out into the landscapes of Limburg, botanical gardens, and art and craft museums wherever she travels in the world.

At the same time, she feels completely at home in her own backyard. Here, she has developed a particular love for botanical illustrations and floral paintings, through which her fascination with nature comes fully to life.

After more than twenty years working as a visual arts teacher in international education, her curiosity and love of learning remained as strong as ever. This passion inspired her to deepen her knowledge and now share it through art workshops for the local community. She gives these workshops in her purpose-built studio in the garden, as well as at various other locations.

Her studies at the Academy of Art University in California and the Florence Academy of Art have provided her with a wealth of knowledge and experience, which she enthusiastically shares with others.

And her journey doesn’t stop there. Nikki is not only passionate about helping you develop your skills; she continues to develop her own as well. She is currently undertaking further training in the UK in **Botanical Illustration** with the Society of Botanical Artists.

Nikki enjoys working with coloured pencils, graphite, pen and ink, and oil paint. In her work, she continually searches for harmonious compositions that capture the beauty of nature. Well-being, enjoyment and an appreciation of art form the foundation of her development as an artist – values that are also at the heart of her teaching.

Alongside teaching workshops, Nikki creates work for exhibitions and accepts commissions from private clients and organisations.
